Simone is has been an arts educator for the last decade.

Teaching philosophy: interdisciplinary arts education, social emotional learning, responsive classroom, project based learning, design thinking, DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion work). Arts education as a way to build confidence, cultivate life skills, and support academic learning through engagement of project based learning with with literacy, history, social and natural sciences, mathematics, etc.

 currently on faculty at Wildwood Elementary School in Los Angeles. She was previously Temple Israel of Hollywood Day School where she teaches drama, dance, voice, dramatic writing, technical theater, and stage design. She is also a resident teaching artist for ArtworxLA and has directed two productions of student work that premiered at the Japanese American National Museum (November 2017 and March 2018)

In 2014, Simone was a selected professional development participant for Carnegie Hall's Music Educator's Workshop.She previously taught in residence at PS134 Henrietta Szold School, providing theater classes with a focus on developing public speaking and literacy skills for fifth grade. From 2011-2015 Simone was a faculty member of the Henry Street Settlement's Abrons Arts Center where she has taught theater, musical theater, dance, and voice over both on site and in residence in New York public schools and after school programs.


In 2011, Simone served as Artistic Director and arts educator at Twilight Park Summer Camp. From 2008-2010, she worked as an arts educator through the Williamsville Community Education's WOW Program. At WOW, she served as assistant director and choreographer for the musicals Williy Wonka Jr., HONK, and Beauty and the Beast.


In addition to her work as a teaching artist, Simone has also been involved with The Future Project, an organization that pairs at-risk youth with volunteer coaches who work one-on-one with students to design and launch innovative "dream projects" in an effort to reignite engagement with classroom learning. Simone was also selected to participate in Carnegie Hall's Music Educators Workshop for professional development in arts education for the 2014-2016 seasons.
